About

A simple, honest exchange rate tool

RateVault started from a small frustration: getting a straight answer to "what's this worth in my currency?" usually meant five tabs, three ads-disguised-as-buttons, and a number you couldn't quite trust. We built the tool we wanted to use ourselves.

What we do

RateVault aggregates publicly available exchange rate data for over 160 world currencies and pricing data for 30+ major cryptocurrencies, and presents it in one fast, ad-supported, sign-up-free page. We don't process payments, hold funds, or offer trading — we just show the numbers as clearly as we can.

Where the data comes from

Fiat currency rates are sourced from public foreign exchange data providers and refresh roughly hourly. Cryptocurrency prices are sourced from public crypto market data aggregators and refresh roughly every minute. Both are mid-market reference rates — see our FAQ for how that differs from the rate you'll get at a bank or exchange counter.

Who it's for

Travelers budgeting a trip. Freelancers invoicing clients abroad. Small importers and exporters costing out an order. Anyone who holds a bit of crypto and wants a fast glance at the market. If you've ever typed "X to Y exchange rate" into a search bar, RateVault is built for you.

How we're funded

RateVault is supported by display advertising, which lets us keep every tool on this site free and account-free. We aim to keep ad placement clearly separated from the actual rate data, so you always know what's an ad and what's a number you can use.

A note on accuracy

We work hard to keep data current, but exchange rates and crypto prices move continuously, and our data is sourced from third parties. Always treat figures here as a reference point rather than a guarantee, particularly for time-sensitive transactions — see our Terms of Use for details.
